(October 8, 2007) –October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and Verizon Wireless, Motorola, and Robby Gordon Motorsports are trying to help raise community awareness about domestic violence and its societal impact. One out of Verizon Wireless is a corporate leader in helping to prevent domestic violence and also has an established program called HopeLine that collects and turns unused phones into support for victims of domestic violence. All proceeds from the jacket sales will be donated to three anti-violence organizations: The North Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence, South Carolina Coalition Against Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault, and Tennessee Coalition Against Violence.
