MEXICO CITY (March 4, 2005) - Red Bull, the world's leading energy drink, will expand its ongoing relationship with Robby Gordon Motorsports when it serves as the primary sponsor of the No. 83 Red Bull Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Gordon this weekend in the Mexico 200 at Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez.
Gordon's Red Bull car will carry the No. 83, emblematic of the 8.3 fluid ounce cans that Red Bull produces and markets throughout the world.
Red Bull and Gordon have enjoyed a relationship together for several years, with the company sponsoring Gordon's off-road Trophy Truck as well as serving as an associate sponsor of Gordon's NASCAR Nextel Cup Series and NASCAR Busch Series cars.  Red Bull has also had a personal services agreement with Gordon for several seasons, which has among other things seen Gordon showcase Red Bull colors on his driving helmet.
In addition, Gordon drove a Red Bull car in his first Dakar Rally earlier this year.
"On the world's stage, Red Bull is in all likelihood the most committed and involved corporation in motorsports," Gordon said.  "Red Bull is a global company that has taken its involvement in motorsports sponsorship to a new level.   The Mexico City race will be Red Bull's first primary sponsorship of any NASCAR effort, and we're working hard to make sure they run out front on Sunday afternoon."
As a testament to Red Bull's commitment to motorsports, in 2004 the company purchased the Jaguar Formula 1 program, thus creating Team Red Bull which enters its first season of Formula 1 team ownership with Scotland's David Coulthard and Austria's Christian Klein comprising the team's driver lineup.
"Robby has been a Red Bull athlete for a number of years, and recently we have been working together more closely than ever to capitalize on both his immense talent as a race car driver and the incredible marketing opportunity available through NASCAR," said Gary Smith, president of Red Bull North America.  "Red Bull is involved in virtually every form of motorsport on earth, and what excites us most about Robby is that he could arguably be competitive in most of these disciplines, including cars, off-road racing and even some forms of motorcycle racing."
More than a billion cans of Red Bull are consumed each year. Responsibility for the unparalleled success of the world's No. 1 energy drink is shared by the company's 1,850 employees, of whom approximately 200 work at Red Bull Headquarters in Fuschl am See, near Salzburg, Austria.
Red Bull is much more than a soft drink - it is an energy drink. It was made for moments of increased physical and mental stress and improves endurance, alertness, concentration and reaction speed.  In short: it vitalizes body and mind.  The effectiveness of Red Bull Energy Drink has been proven by a large number of scientific studies and is appreciated by many of the world's top athletes and drivers, opinion-leaders and hard-working people with active lifestyles.
