ROBBY GORDON ADDS MEIJER TO HIS FRUIT OF THE LOOM CHEVROLET

Huntersville, NC (June 17, 2004) – In addition to their Fruit of the Loom primary sponsorship, Robby Gordon Motorsports will add Meijer stores to their Chevrolet Monte Carlo for the Meijer 300 NASCAR Busch Series race this weekend at Kentucky Speedway.

“We are very pleased to have Meijer as an associate sponsor on the Fruit of the Loom Chevrolet,” Gordon said.  We were able to develop a great relationship with Meijer stores during the Indianapolis 500 and we are excited to have another association with them in the NASCAR Busch Series.  It would be great to take Fruit of the Loom to Victory Lane in their home state as well as give Meijer a win at their title race.”

Meijer was also one of Gordon’s sponsors for his Indianapolis 500 Chevrolet this past May when he attempted “Double Duty”.  Unfortunately, due to weather, Gordon was unable to finish the Indianapolis 500 in order to return to Charlotte for the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR Cup Series race.
