Robby Gordon Loudon Preview

CHARLOTTE, NC (June 25, 2008) – Robby Gordon heads to New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend, a track that produced one of Gordon’s most memorable feats as a professional driver – his first NASCAR Sprint Cup Series victory on November 23, 2001. Along with his win, Gordon has scored two top-five and three top-ten finishes at the 1.058-mile oval track.

Gordon, who is coming off a heart-breaking 36th-place finish at the road course race at Infineon Raceway, continues to focus on the light at the end of the tunnel. In preparation for this weekend’s race, the No. 7 team will make a pit stop at the Milwaukee Mile, a low-banking oval race track very similar to NHMS, in an effort to optimize their race package for the 301-lap, 318.6 mile race.

The No. 7 will be sporting the “back in black” paint scheme once again this weekend.  Primary sponsorship opportunities are still available for this weekend’s race, and interested parties should contact the Business Development department at bizdev@teamgordon.com.

TV and Radio Times – Qualifying is set for Friday, June 27th at 3:10 p.m. (ET) on SPEED TV, MRN, and Sirius. The Lenox Industrial Tools 301 will begin on Sunday at 2:17 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast live on TNT, PRN and Sirius Satellite radio.

Thoughts on Loudon – “It’s always good to be racing at a track where you have had finished well in the past,” stated Gordon. “New Hampshire is a flat track that can be difficult to turn on, so it is important that we focus on the handling of the car. This weekend our emphasis will be to bring home a good finish, so that we can get back to where we belong in the points standings,” commented Gordon.

Appearance Schedule – Gordon will be signing autographs on Sunday at his souvenir trailer at 10:45 am.
