Darlington Raceway, the first asphalt track in NASCAR, was repaved in early 2008. The 1.33-mile, egg-shaped oval is sure to increase speeds for the NASCAR Sprint Cup teams.

TV and Radio Times: Qualifying is set for Friday, May 9 at 5:15 p.m. (ET) on SPEED TV, MRN, and Sirius. Race time on Saturday is 7:00 p.m. (ET) and will be broadcast on Fox, MRN, and Sirius.

Darlington – “Any NASCAR fan knows the importance of Darlington and how tough the place is from a driving standpoint. I think the new surface will present new challenges for us.  The track will be smoother but also quite a bit faster. Hopefully, we can apply what we learned at the Lowe’s test for this weekend’s race.”

Season So Far – “It is hard to believe that we have only run ten races. There’s a lot of racing left on the schedule, and I know that we are going to keep getting better.”

Appearances - Robby Gordon will be at his souvenir trailer on Saturday signing autographs for his fans at 4:15 pm.
