| From RobbyGordon.com News NASCAR officials added this last minute test session in response to the outspoken need for more information to help teams manage the new Car of Tomorrow on the intermediate tracks. With 17 more 1.5 mile tracks on the circuit this year, it was a much appreciated learning experience for Robby Gordon Motorsports. The test ultimately helped Gordon and his team refine their set-ups and make significant adjustments to gauge which car to bring as the primary for a successful Coca Cola 600 race. Gordon’s comments on the test, “We wanted to optimize every possible set-up, which I think we accomplished successfully. Gathering and analyzing all of this data will really help us, not only at At the conclusion of the test, Gordon was ranked ninth best overall with a lap time of 29.376 seconds and a speed of 183.824 mph.
