2004 saw Robby Gordon emerge with his own entry into the NASCAR Busch Series. Gordon claimed his first career victory in the series at Richmond and managed to score nine top-ten finishes in 25 starts. During the 2005 season Gordon ran four events with his Robby Gordon Motorsports entry. He sat on the outside pole at the inaugural race in Mexico City and finished second at Watkins Glen in the Red Bull entry.
In 10 career starts Robby Gordon has led 53 laps at the Indy 500, qualified a career best third, scored three top five and five top-10 finishes.
Robby Gordon's most memorable moment came at the Brickyard in 1999 while leading the Indianapolis 500. Gordonran out of gas while coming to take the white flag for the final lap.

For Robby Gordon it began in the desert and continues to be his first love. Gordon made a name for himself dominating the Mickey Thompson Stadium Series along with two Baja 1000 victories. In 2005 Gordon with his self designed Trophy Truck claimed his third Baja 500 victory
Robby Gordon scored two career victories in the CART series. Driving for Walker Racing Gordon won at Phoenix and Detroit in the 1995 season. In 1999 Gordon became the youngest owner/driver in CART history fielding his own Toyota Swift.
In eight IROC starts between 1996 and 1997 Robby Gordon finished second five times. A memorable moment came in 1996 at Daytona when Gordon pushed the late Dale Earnhardt to victory.
Rising from the desert, Robby Gordon in 1990 went to drive for Jack Rousch in the IMSA series. Gordon dominated the series scoring seven victories over two seasons. In 1991 he finished in the top-10 11 times in an equal number of races. Ten of the 11 finishes were fifth or better.
