“The Glen is such a great track to race on, and I always look forward to coming here. I’m excited that Jim Beam has come on board to sponsor both races this weekend. We had a really good test at Road Atlanta with both the Nationwide and Cup car last week, so I have a great feeling about this weekend and our chances to go to Victory Lane,” said Gordon.

“This is only my second time racing in the NASCAR Busch Series race in Texas. The first time was in the spring of 2004, and I finished third. Dana Brugman, my Busch crew chief, and the guys in the shop have been working hard to make improvements to our Busch cars in recent weeks. I am looking forward Saturday’s race, and the final appearance of the No. 55 Verizon Wireless Ford Fusion for this season."

“I am really looking forward to racing in Charlotte on Friday night. The No. 55 Verizon Wireless Ford Fusion should be good with the changes that we have recently made to our Busch cars. Lowe's Motor Speedway is a fast track and with this race being under the lights, the race should be real exciting."

“We are looking forward to running in the Busch Series race again this year at the Glen. The final laps of last year’s race were very exciting,” Gordon said. “We are bringing back the same car that we raced last weekend in Montreal and last year at this race, so we should be a contender again this weekend. I want to thank the guys in the shop for the long hours that they put in this week fixing the damage from last week’s race. It is their hard work that is allowing us to race this car, which has consistently showed is capable of winning races. Verizon Wireless is our primary sponsor for this event, so we hope to bring them their first victory in the Busch Series.”
