This weekend started like it does every weekend...my 12 year old son and I laying our clothes out the night before the race (our "Gordon Gear " as he likes to call it) But this time was different...this time my son looked me in the eye and said " This is the week-end Dad. We're gonna win." I smiled. "Yeah?" I said. He nodded hid head up and down... "Yeah"

I remember a while back when Robby was still doing Indy Car races in Long Beach, CA. They were qualifying and my dad took me to go and see them. The whole time all I could think about was when i got to meet Robby and get his autograph. Desperate to get his autograph we sat outside his trailer while others were eating waiting for him to come by. After a few hours of waiting Robby never came and my family wanted to leave but i woudnt budge. One of the employe's noticed I was waiting there and the took me in the golf cart to where the Indy car was and Robby was in the trailer, they told me that he was in a meeting. I remember looking at the door and there stood Robby so i walked across and asked him for his autograph. He just smiled and said so you the one they told me about. That just made my day, i was about 12 at the time and I still remember it to this day in detail almost 10 years later. Robby didnt have to do that, but he made me the happiest kid on the planet that day. All i want to say is Thanks Robby, I AM A FAN FOR LIFE.

It's Like a family reunion

I was at the fall Phoenix race in the pits on Saturday morning. Robby was out on pit road and a lady that was standing by me wanted a picture of Robby Gordon. She walked up to the pit wall, and then kept going out on pit road. I thought, wow, this gal is going to get tossed out because she went out on pit road. Not only did she not get tossed, but Robby called her over and had a couple pictures taken with her. It was like this guy is just hanging out, waiting to go qualify, and taking pictures like it was a family reunion. Why the hell didn't I go out there?

Robby Gordon: "Don't Tell me what I can't do"

It’s a brilliant moment of courage and insanity when Don Qxuiote mounts his tired steed and charges into what his fevered mind believes is the maw of a dragon. In reality it’s an old man in burnished armor charging a windmill, but in his mind it was a dragon, and it takes uncommon courage to do so.

I’ve always loved underdogs. My very first hero was Alan Kulwicki, a slightly odd ball engineer from Wisconsin who decided he could win championships in NASCAR as an owner/drive. He was the first to do it in almost 50 years and he is the only one to do it in the 13 years since. [ Visit Website ]

Every year my friends and I go to the Bristol races. We each had a diffrent favorite driver, but then we met Robby. He was so nice to us and our family. We could not believe that he treated his fans so good. Now we all agree that Robby Gordon is our favotite driver.
