California Off-Road Racer Andy Grider Heads to Africa for Legendary Dakar Rally

California off-road racer Andy Grider heads to Africa to participate in the legendary Dakar Rally for the second time. Starting January 5, 2007 Andy will navigate the US Monster H3 team with Robby Gordon through the fourteen- day rally.  This amazing race starts in Portugal and then follows a path across Spain and over the Mediterranean into Africa. The USA Monster Team will cover over 5000 miles to make its way to the finish in Dakar, Senegal.

Andy Grider, who is a multi- Baja champion and finished 3rd in the Rally Tunisia in 2005 on a motorcycle, along with NASCAR’s Robby Gordon make for an already successful team. He and Robby put their skills together to claim a victory in the 2006 Baja 1000.

The “Dakar” as its known is a highlight for international fans and will be followed by millions this year. Both the internet and t.v will be covering the event live. VS.
