“We are looking forward to running our first NASCAR Busch Series race of the year this weekend here in Charlotte,” Gordon said.  “We ran the fall race here last year and had a great car and a top-five run until we blew a tire.  The tires will most definitely be the issue here again.  With the new surface and the hard-compound tire that Goodyear brought, looking after your equipment will be key."

“I’m looking to not only to put on a great show for Harrah’s and our other sponsors, but to also get a better idea of what to expect for Sunday night’s Coca-Cola 600.   The competition is pretty stiff these days in the Busch Series though.  With great drivers from the Cup series in the field every week, it won’t be much different than the Cup race on Sunday."

• No Place Like Home – This will mark the 3^rd appearance for Harrah’s on the hood of the No. 7 Chevy and the first time this season in the Busch series. • Chassis – Chassis No. 03 will make its first return to Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend since last year’s fall Busch race.   
• Autograph Appearances – Gordon will visit and sign for fans on Saturday, May 27^th from 3:15-4 p.m. and also on Sunday, May 28^th from 1:50-2:30 p.m.
• Charlotte NBS Notes – Charlotte is one of seven tracks that have hosted NASCAR Busch Series races since the series’ 1982 inception. The 2006 season is the series’ 25th anniversary and also the 25th anniversary of its association with series sponsor Anheuser-Busch. Saturday night’s CarQuest 300 is the 13th of 35 series events. The NASCAR Busch Series’ first race at LMS in 1982 also was the 13th event that season.
