Robby Gordon Richmond Preview

Robby Gordon will race the No. 7 Charter Communications Dodge this weekend at Richmond International Raceway. Gordon gained two spots and is 27th in driver points after an 11th place finish at Talladega last week. Gordon owns one top-five and one top-10 finish in 16 races at the .75-mile short track. Additionally, he’s led 30 laps there.

TV and Radio Times: Qualifying is set for Friday at 5:30 p.m. (ET) on SPEED TV and MRN Radio. Race time on Saturday is 7:30 p.m. (ET) on Fox and MRN Radio.

DRIVER ROBBY GORDON QUOTES:

RICHMOND – “Richmond is all about survival. It’s one of those places where it can be a really long night. The key there is to qualify well, keep your fenders clean and hope you’re still competitive by the end of the race.”

“Lap traffic is always a factor at short tracks. It doesn’t take the leaders long to catch the back of the pack. Navigating through the lap cars will be important in securing a decent finish.”

“We’re fairly confident this week heading there with the No. 7 Dodge. The team has a lot of momentum coming off a strong run at Talladega last week. That finish was just the shot in the arm we needed. We have the pieces in place for consistent finishes; we just need to be able to put them together each week. That’s what we’re focusing on.”

Appearances:

Robby Gordon will be at his souvenir trailer on Saturday signing autographs for his fans from 4:00pm4:30pm.
